the Girls Brigade is divided into the following sections:
4 to 7 years - Explorer (Primary 1-Primary 3)

The badge work we do with in Girls Brigade is split in to 4 categories: Spiritual, Physical, Educational and Social. These words spell SPES which is Latin for Hope. Also, the girls are encouraged to participate in activities other than just badge work. These include leadership courses for 14- to 21-year-olds, Moreover, GB helps its members with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and Queens Award.
At Newton-on-Ayr we arrange days out, we went to the farm park with our explorers, and camps or holiday, this year we enjoyed Dumfries house residential weekend where the girls were able to partake in activities such as archery, a muddy mud trail, wall climbing and a scavenger hunt.
We run on a Friday night from 7-8:30 for our Explorer and Junior sections and 7-9 for our Brigader sections. During this time, we do badge work alongside songs, games, crafts and fundraising for charity.
